About Lynn Roseberry
I have completed a 4-year psychotherapist training at the Copenhagen Gestalt Institute.
As part of my training as a psychotherapist, I have been through a lot of therapy as a client. Through this, I have gotten to know myself better and noticed how I am in the world. I have felt on my own body how psychotherapy can support a development process that extends over a longer period of time and results in lasting changes. The most important lesson was that much of what goes on in development work cannot be learned by reading a book, but must be experienced in order for it to become “internalized” knowledge.
I continue to develop myself.
I continue to develop as a therapist by attending individual therapy, supervision, and participating in a training group focused on attachment. I also qualified as a Somatic Experience practitioner in 2021 and have completed a year-long online course on couples therapy offered by the Couples Institute in the USA.
In addition, I have gained a fair amount of life experience.
I grew up in the USA.
I was born in 1959 and grew up in the U.S. I moved to Denmark in 1994 when I married a Dane, with whom I have two children and am still married to.
I am a trained lawyer and before moving to Denmark I worked as a lawyer. From 1994 until the end of 2016 I was employed at Copenhagen Business School, first as a Ph.D. student and later as an associate professor, head of department, and finally Equal Opportunities Officer at Copenhagen Business School.
I changed tracks in 2016 because I had been engaged in learning more about personal development processes, coaching and therapy for several years, especially after I became head of department at CBS’s Department of Law.
I took several courses to develop my leadership style and soon felt like working more directly with personal development.
In addition to my psychotherapeutic practice, I also run a consulting business that offers advice and assistance to companies and leaders who would like to achieve more diversity and equality.
As a member of the Danish Psychotherapist Association, I follow the association’s ethical rules.
