Stress therapy in Copenhagen
What is stress?
Are you looking for a stress therapy practice in Copenhagen? Then Roseberry Psychotherapy is the place for you. Stress is basically a biological reaction that helps us deal with dangerous situations and challenges. When we are faced with something we perceive as threatening, the body releases stress hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline. But the reaction is designed to solve a short-term problem or threat. When we are burdened by excessive, prolonged work pressure, persistent worries or conflicts, the body reacts with a physiological stress response. It puts the body on alert and risks exhausting the body over time.
Stress is a state of mental and physical strain.
Stress is a state of mental and physical strain. We can become stressed when we experience that we cannot meet demands and expectations placed on us. An imbalance arises between what you feel you should be able to do and what you feel you actually can do.
Because stress is a biological reaction, the first symptoms are often physical. These can include repeated infections, heart palpitations, and sleep problems.
Later, you may experience psychological symptoms such as anger or crying easily. You may have negative thoughts about yourself and exaggerate your faults and shortcomings. Over time, you may also experience problems with memory and concentration.
When you are under stress
When you are under stress, you may have negative thoughts about yourself and your sense of reality may be disrupted. The longer the stress persists, the more severe the symptoms will be.
Severe stress cannot be thought away, but requires a period of rehabilitation of physical and mental resources.
If you have persistent symptoms of stress, you should always seek help. The worst symptoms of stress usually subside quickly if you get the right help.
I offer a competent course in stress therapy in Copenhagen that will resolve your symptoms and get you back on track. Stress therapy – treatment
Once you are affected by stress, it may be necessary to take full or partial sick leave. It depends entirely on the cause of the stress and how affected you are. Therefore, it is a good idea to talk to your doctor about your situation.
If you are experiencing symptoms of stress, it is a good idea to seek help from a psychotherapist for stress therapy, who can help you find out how you can create a better balance between what you feel you should be able to do and what you feel you actually can do. If you go to therapy with me, we will examine your expectations of yourself and how you perceive the expectations of your employer, family, and social circle of people. We will also examine how you perceive your abilities to meet expectations. Many times it turns out that the person suffering from stress has ideas about what is expected of them and that they MUST meet all expectations. If you feel this way, you need help to find out if this is really the case. You may discover that there are more options than just doing what others expect of you – or that they do not have the expectations you thought they had at all.
I will also help you become aware of how your stress symptoms change depending on what you think, how you eat and sleep, who you are with, and what you do in your free time.
